The Scientific Method in Action (kacha)

Choose from one of the three articles below  (1 - least complex...3 - most complex)
  1. Electric bees
  2. Not all frogs freeze
  3. Coral reef mystery

Once you have read the article - answer the following questions on a blank sheet of notebook paper.
  • What was the problem that the scientists were studying?
  • What was their question? (one sentence - keep it simple)
  • Write a hypothesis in the "If...then" format  - write a hypothesis for the question the scientists were asking.
  • What were the independent and dependent variables in their study?
  • What might some things be that they would want to control in their studies?

Do not feel bad if you find this difficult - I want this to be an exercise where you are stretching your brains and applying what we have learned in class to the real-world of SCIEEEENCE!
