Picture
The process of photosynthesis comes from the latin root "photos" meaning "light" and synthesize, "to make".  Almost all life on Earth relies on this - converting the Sun's energy into chemical energy, or food, for the rest of us.  In this unit we will explore how the Sun's energy is converted into food, and then how organisms transform this energy into the driving forces that we call life.

Assignments
In order to retake TEST at the end of the unit, all assignments must be completed and in your folder at the back of the room.

Extra Credit: Overtime Slips
Read or watch one of the Videos, Links and Resources on your right and fill out an overtime slip for some extra points.  OR - look something up your own, do a little research, and share with me what you discover!

SUB DAY - Tues - Jan 10th
Complete the
STUDY GUIDE
- using your NOTES, Presentation: Photosynthesis, Chapter: Photosynthesis & Chapter: Cellular Respiration , and the Quizlet: Photosynth vocab
Complete your chloroplast drawings on a large sheet of white paper.  Include all of the vocabulary terms listed on the handout/link above.

Use various chloroplast diagram examples as a template to make your own...but DO NOT just copy one...make your own.

When done - work on the photosynthesis study guide.
