Daily Warm-Up
Looking at the globe (Earth) and lamp (Sun) at the front of class answer the following:
- What season is it in the Northern Hemisphere?
- What do you think the climate is like in Alaska this time of year?
Class 1
Drawing: Your Wild Place
- Label the top of paper: Your Name and Period.
- Close eyes and think of a natural place that you are familiar with (a park you have visited, the river in the summer, etc.).
- Draw this place using the paper and your color pencils.
- Label where this place is.
Label these parts of your drawing.
- Abiotic (at least 3)
- Biotic (at least 3)
- Organism (circle, identify, and label at least 10)
- Population (circle and label)
- Community (circle and label)
- Ecosystem (circle and label)
Turn in your Drawings to the front of class (2 min timer).
